MC July/12 - Baubles Joy

My card is a side folded 5"w x 7"h and the embossing folder (Sizzix "Snowflake") I wanted to use was a 4x6 and the snowflake fell in the wrong area... so I just cut my folder apart and taped it closed on the opposite side, embossed the area I wanted through my machine, moved the design over a bit and used my rubber mallet to finish the embossing. Repeated the process for the bottom section.

Stamped the baubles (Lili of the Valley) with Versafine Black Onyx and colored with Distress markers. Used the same markers to create the linear design.

Wrote in my word "Joy" using a  6.0 Pilot Parallel pen and one of their Black cartridges in a funky style of lettering I've been playing with recently. Then stamped the words on either side of it ("Textured Words" sentiments (Quietfire Design) with the Black. Added some Ritz micro fine glitter "Gold".

Click on card image to see a larger view. Enjoy

And it fits for these challenges:
Anything Challenge  #72  Anything but square ( I really did want to make a different shape, but the two weeks went by...)
Cards Press  OLW#97 Use lines (Seems their challenge closed, but the intention was there...)
Christmas Stampin  #21  Inspir image (see below)

Great card! You are very brave to cut apart your embossing folder (I don't think I would dare!) but I love the effect you got with it. It's perfect for your card. And it's pretty amazing that you did your own lettering. Awesome job! Thanks for playing with CSAYL
