MC Nov/12 - Hexagons & Wheat - 3 ways cards

One of the challenges is to use hexagons and another is a single layer card and another is use a stamp 3 ways... These are the results.

I used the Cuttlebug "Honeycomb" embossing folder set, the Wheat Sheaf from Inkadinkado "Meadow" set, and the sentiment stamps from Quietfire Design.

On the first card, I inked up an Impression Obsession CAC "Bubbles" stamp with Distress pads in Scattered Straw, tapped lightly with Barn Door and Peeled Paint, misted with water and stamped. This one was from the 3rd generation stamping. Love the soft effect it has.
Cut some cardstock rectangles to use to emboss only a part of the honeycomb folder. Cut a mask/stencil of the rectangle to sponge the outside edge border in the Straw and touched lightly with the Barn Door. Stamped the wheat with Versafine Olympia Green and touched with the Black. Pressed hard to get the design into the crevices. Cut a larger mask of the honeycomb to burnish the embossed design down from the back prior stamping my sentiment. Used the stencil to sponge some red. Stamped the sentiment with the green and black pad. Added a die cut green bow from my stash and gold Peel Off lines for the border.

On this 2nd card I cut out a stencil of a Hexagon to fit my sentiment, painted the area on my green card with Adirondack "Snow Cap" dauber a couple times, drying between layers. Edged the hexagon using a Sakura Gel pen "Ruby". Sponged the hexagon with the Distress red. Stamped the sentiment with Versafine Black Onyx.
Stamped the wheat Sheaf's a couple times with Versafine Toffee and embossed with Queen's Gold. Place the Honeycomb embossing folder over my card front and used a hard rubber mallet to selectively emboss areas.

On this 3rd card I decided to do a shaped card of a Hexagon. I used my electronic cutter with the weld option of two hexagons and cut out, scored and created the top fold card from white cardstock. Sponged the Straw all over, then embossed with the border embossing folder from the Honeycomb set. Did that on 3 edges. Sponged some of the red all over.
Stamped the wheat with the green and black pads. Stamped the sentiment with the Toffee and embossed with the gold, then shadowed with a 4B pencil and blended with a paper stump.

What a fabulous trio of cards! I'd find it hard to pick a favourite. Love the gold embossing on the green one, but the warm colours in the hexagon one are just wonderful. Thank you for playing along with the CCEE Stampers this week.
