Miracles & Liz - pencil work

I came across a pencil calligraphy piece done by Ann Purdy from my Guild on Facebook and finally decided to play again... She took a pencil work class with Amity Parks recently and I love both their work. Thanks Ann for the inspiration. I love working with pencils but just don't do enough of it... I did the "miracles" on a piece of Arches Text Wove that was laying on my desk, using an HB pencil and a paper stump for blending.

So while I was playing with my pencil decided to do my friend's name in pencil work as well on her envelope. Adding some Pan Pastels through a stencil I made using Elizabeth Craft Designs "Woodland Leaves" die set.

After doing the lettering and stenciling, I sprayed it with Krylon workable fixative and then added the shadows and veins on the leaves.
