Magenta Class

Had a wonderful mini class yesterday at Paper Pastimes, Magenta products Resist techniques and cards. It was a 3 hour class and we made several backgrounds and finished making 6 cards. Talk about fast paced... One of the backgrounds uses Ranger's Resit stamp pad, then sponging on Distress colors from their stamp pads, misting a melt art mat and placing the background face down on the water mist. All the color blend beautifully. And don't forget to have some scrap paper next to you when you do this technique, because there is still color on the melt art mat that can be soaked up onto this extra cardstock... Another background used acrylic paint (just one color) just swiped across the surface leaving white spaces. Then sprayed with Distress re-inker "Walnut Stain" mixed with a bit of iridescent paint from the Palettes from Art Quest. Third technique was to rubber stamp a piece of cardstock then use Ranger's Crackle paint, thin coat, leaving some of the stamped areas bare. All of these need to dry while we were working on the other cards. Then we did various layering or folding or whatever. Click on card to see the other cards I made and a bit more details.
