Celtic Alphabet - O

Continuing the Celtic Knot alphabet - I'm over half way...

Size: 4.75" sq
On Canson Mixed Media Paper  outlined my Celtic letter with a Juice Up pen. Colored the left border with Gansai Tambi gold w/c paint and added decorative black dots.

Colored all the knotwork with Ken Oliver Liquid Sparkle (Limoncello Ice and Samba Ice), both have a touch of sparkle to them which you can't see in the image - sigh, moved the color around with a wet paintbrush. I never thought these were so nice...

Added dots with a Zig Writer

Since I couldn't find a quote that spoke to me about calligraphy I just wrote the sentiment I was thinking about... and since I've been loving playing with my Color Burst powders and Blackletter is one of my favorite hands I combined all my loves. BIG GRIN.

Sept/21 - ABCEDARIAN - Always Begin Counting

Our guild (BVCG.ca) is having a galleria ZOOM meeting in October. and our challenge was to create something with the topic ABCEDARIAN. I had a vague idea of what that constituted and when I looked up the meaning I was still baffled... So I went with the simplistic meaning of using every letter in the alphabet in a sequential order... I'm very pleased with the results.

For wk 9 - of the Scribbled Live 2020 challenge - Garden of the Forked Path. After reading a bunch of stuff, I went in the Quantum Mechanics direction. Most so far have gone with a "Loosey Goosey" style. Beats me...

BVCG Feb/20 Lettering Challenge - Fluffiness & Giggle

I`m curious to see what others are going to do with the word Fluffiness... I decided fat tails and done with white Bleed Proof ink on black would look fluffy...

I decided to use some of my newer Ken Oliver Color Burst powders for the "Giggle" background and really fat descenders on those "g`s". I giggle when I look at them...

Jan/20- Lily Of The Valley - Sweetest of The Flowers

And another watercolor flower this time a Lily Of The Valley. Actually the flower wasn't painted Big Grin... except the leaves. The background is Color Burst. And a bit more of my calligraphy.

The quote is written in rather smaller lettering than I normally use.

wk 2 - Rivalry #2 - I'm A Peaceful

The words are just something that came to me and I had to put them down... 

I used Ken Oliver "Catherine Pooler" color Burst Carnival set, dropping some powder (Samba, Suede Shoes & Mardis Gras) onto my palette and misting with water, then pressing a 3/4" sq piece of eraser and stamping the letter squares onto Strathmore "Bristol" smooth cardstock. For the top one I used a Zig bullet tip black marker and for the bottom one I used a Sakura gold gel pen.

Doodling done with the Samba and a pointed pen and FW acrylic white ink. The rest of the quote done with the inks on my palette.

For the one below I used the Samba with my pointed nib pen.
