Freedom Booklet

I was cleaning out a bunch of stuff... and found a bunch of black cardstock, folded in half with a window on one side... so I glued them together to create the booklet, adhering the letters to spell "FREEDOM'S"

Adhered a piece of crackle scrapbook paper to the left side and wrote a word under the window, one each page from the lyrics. (LOVE this song...)

Art Of The Fold - Pocket Album - Whatever

Our next challenge is to create a pocket type booklet as seen in Bound & Lettered (winter 2011 issue). It's a nice basic fold, but rather than have individual pocket pages, I decided to stack various size pockets into each other.
Size closed: 6"w x 6"h x 1/2thk
So I pulled out some heavy weight paper from Tim Holtz from way back when... called Vintage Shabby 12 x 12 pad. Some of the papers were full sheet designs and others were 1/4 page designs - so utilized a bunch of them. Had some off cuts as well from when I 1st got the pad...

I had started with 1 color but then ended using 3 colors, each section with a different sequence of colors and had some extra folded pieces that didn't follow the sequence so adhered them to the front.

Added a brown 1/2" ribbon and brass closure. Ribbon just has a single knot to keep it closed.

Wrote out the title with an Itoya Double Header Mocha marker and adhered it to the cover leaving an  opening to slip the ribbon through.

Attached one end of the ribbon to the buckle with some glue and then just tied a simple knot to the other.

No Sew - Tab Booklet - Miss You

So I was asked to teach a class with this structure (Oct 2
6, 2022 at Paper Pastimes). It was eons ago that I had made and taught it (I think at least 15 years)... I said sure. I looked at the one the lady had to jog my memory. Came home and made this one. I altered it from the one I was shown by adding a hidden page and a pocket. I'm pleased. BIG GRIN

PS this is only an alternate sample, not the one we'll be making in class,
