On Canson XL Black Drawing Paper using a white gel pen and Black Edition colored pencils.
Lettering done with a Zebra Pointed pen nib and Twinkles H2º "Indian Copper"

Size: 7:sq
On Canson XL Mixed Media paper drew out the question mark symbol (for the word "question") and inserted the author's name.  Since someone mentioned Twinkling H2O's I pulled out mine and used the "Indian Copper" to paint around Henry's name written with a Unibal Signo .38 deep blue pen. Then wrote the text around it with various colors of Zig and Itoya Calligraphy markers then shadowed with a black .02 Micron pen.

Day 3 of Julie Wildman's Calligraphy ATC class. I really likes some of the samples using unreadable type writing, coloring within areas and then cutting them into ATC's. So thought I'd make a few... The word on top of the ATC's is the actual artwork before cutting it up...

wk 1 - Kindness #2 - Dala Lama

I was bored and not in the mood to read my romance novel so... 

I used a 3.8 Parallel pen & Sumi ink for quote on BK Velin paper in a funky Neuland style. Gold gel pen dots on the word separators. Neuland lettered words done with 6.0 Parallel pen and water with Twinkles H2º dropped in. Graphite pencil and paper stump shadowing..

In the previous challenge I worked only in Black & White and Grey for our Guild's Journal. This time I'm working in Full Technicolor and decided I'm going to try all my art supplies I haven't used in eons... We'll see how far I get.

May/19 - Calligraphy Retro Deco Postcards

I recently took a 2 day workshop with Gemma Black from Tasmania, Australia. You can see what I created in those 2 days by clicking HERE

And our Guild is challenging us to create and mail postcards for our May meeting. So here are the ones I created...

They are all 7"w x 5"h mounted on 110# Neenah white cardstock some with an outer deckled edge and some with an inner deckled edge created with a rotary cutter. I created a couple a few weeks later and forgot which layer to deckle - sigh! They are nice and stiff...

Show Me Sunday on Suzanne's Fan Group - Foiling

This is what I posted on SHOW ME SUNDAY on Suzanne Cannon's Fan Group Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/groups/Suzanne.Cannon.fan.group/).

I just got a Foil Quill gadget for my Silhouette Cameo machine. Works really well. Having fun with it.

I'm using the "Flourished Heart" from Suzanne available on Silhouette onLine store. The 1st image is the basic foiling with the largest tip. The 2nd image is the same heart but the negative space colored with Twinkles H2º "Solar Gold". The 3rd image is the same heart but filled with a sketching stroke. Now all I have to do is figure out how to get a totally solid foiled image... PS I keep all my scraps to use with my battery operated foiling tool (not available as battery any more only electrical).

And for those of you who don't have either of the above tools... these images are done with an iron. I placed a pad of paper on my desk, then a silicon craft sheet, then my die - cut edge facing up, then my foil - colored side facing down, then my cardstock, then a very hot iron - no steam. PS I taped my cardstock down on one edge so I could lift it to check if all was foiled and continue foiling BIG GRIN.

MC May/13 - Blizzard HB Book

I'm so happy with the way this booklet turned out. Most of you know I taught a "No Sew Booklet" class this weekend and I added this booklet as a surprise to the repertoire. It's originally design by Hedi Kyle and I remember making a few of them about 4 years ago and thought the students would really enjoy this structure... Time does fly by too quickly.

This time I made the pages larger than the height of the structure, relying on the pages for the support.
I forgot to mention in my web site description, that as a final touch I added a punched out butterfly sitting on the top of the pages. Love that little detail. BIG GRIN. Also that the structure was made from off white Canson Ingres paper.

Dec Env Exchange Limor & Ruth C's Envies

Since I'm going to be busy next weekend at a weekend art class, I thought I'd get this month's envelopes done. I'm on another roll. I'm happy with everything I've been creating this weekend. The fronts of a bunch of ATC's are done as well, just have to do the insides now.

The envies use mainly colored pencils with a bit of Twinkles H2o's and some glitter. Enjoy
