MC Aug/18 - Easel Cup Of Tea - ECD Hugs - Mine You're All Mine

It's my turn on the Quietfire Creations blog today and I've been meaning to make a tea cup type of easel card for a while now... So here it is.

MCMar/18 - Easel Egg Basket - Hoppy Easter - When This Day Becomes

My turn on the Quietfire Creations Blog today and it's almost Easter time ... So I thought I'd get one of those cards in for my final post this month.

I'm using another of those stamps that was meant for Christmas... but with a little masking it's now good for any time of the year. How many stamps or dies do you have in your stash that you only use for what they were originally meant for?? Why not look at them again and see what you can do with them - you'd be surprised... 
I'm especially fond of this quote because I have such great memories of Easter egg hunting when I was a kid...

MC Apr/16 - Double Diamond - ECD Happy Birthday - The Woods Would Be

I haven't made one of these double diamond fold cards in eons and thought it was time to make one again. BIG GRIN. There is a template on my website to create one this size from 7"h x 12"w cardstock (plus all your decorative papers; plus a hint on how to make it from 8.5 x 11" papers).

MC Feb/16 - Pyramid Gear Card - ECD Laugh, Celebrate - Happy Birthday

My turn on the Quietfire Creations blog today. As I mentioned the other day I had another pyramid card percolating in my brain... ROFL (you can see that one HERE). This is the result. BIG GRIN. One guy card down, a couple more to make...

I don't know why I haven't made this structure since 2011, but that won't happen again. I really like making them... And they stand so beautifully.

I'm using a wax crayon resist technique for the backgrounds. Also multi embossing powder technique using Emerald Creek embossing powders to get the rust/verdigris look on the gears.

MC Feb/16 - Pyramid Card - ECD Live, Love, Laugh, Happy Birthday - Each Of Us

One of my quilling friends will be showing the rest of our quilling group how to make a pyramid card. I remember making these structures eons ago... so searched my website and sure enough found something... I had done a tutorial which was published in Vamp Stamp News July 2011. So I thought I would refresh my brain and make another one. BIG GRIN. This is the result. I think I'll make another one today but for a guy. I have something percolating in my brain. Will see how it turns out.

Suzanne has come out with 3 new dies (Thanks, Hello and Believe) that are gorgeous. I had to use the "Believe" die...

Double Diamond Card - Sometimes - HB

It's that time of year when I need some guy cards... they are all clustered within the next 3 months... and then I'm back to girl cards. ROFL.

My uncle whom I think is turning 93, has always loved stamps. He's got Alzheimer's now sigh!! He was an avid collector and I remember when I was younger... I was tasked to remove the stamp from whatever it was stuck to. It was an enjoyable time and I guess that's when my love of stamps originated, although I'm not a collector per se - except for new stamps.... I can't resist decorating envelopes and adding the appropriate stamp to match.

I like this card structure which I recently saw and decided to make one myself. I've added a template on my web post.
