I think this is the worst gilding I've ever done even when I was initially learning the tech... I have a lot of size in my drawer so have been using them one at a time. This one is going in the garbage...

Celtic - Z - Gilded

And finally the last letter of the alphabet. Now to finish adhering everything in the booklet I made for it...

I decided to gild the negative areas rather than the letter itself.

Size: 4.5"w x 5"h
On red cardstock outlined my Celtic letter with a Zig black pen. Applied Gerry Tresser gold size and gilded with C. Roberson 23K Red Gold Leaf. Added a couple of gold rhinestones.

PS the pic was taken at an angle to show the gold. Sorry the bottom of the letter turned silver in the pic...

On Black Black cardstock outlined my Celtic letter using a pointed nib and Bleed Proof white ink. Gilded with Mona Lisa Variegated Leaf using Gerry Tresser gold size.

This week on Scribbled Lives we need to create a letter only... no text. Since I've done a Celtic "H" & "G" I decided to do a "Y"...

Size: 4"w x 5.5"h
On Paper Reflections black cardstock outlined my Celtic letter with a Sakura white 08 Geli Roll pen.
Gilded the center ovals with Roberson's "red gold"23K gold leaf and the rest with Mona Lisa Red Leaf using a Designa Size Quick Pen gold leaf adhesive.
Colored the knot work with Black Edition colored pencils. Added some holographic gel glitter in the 3 dots.

Nov/19 Enchanted Letters - Xmas Cards

I never got around to uploading these Xmas cards that I made in November. Since I needed to give it to the ladies before they saw it on my blog BIG GRIN.

A couple of the gals from our Crafty Dozen had wanted their name done in "Enchanted Letter" style. I decided to ask if anyone else wanted one and created Xmas cards for them.

 

Their name is done on a removable piece of cardstock that is frame-able. I also scanned and printed the name on the front of the card so it still remained a viable card when the artwork was removed...

As I mentioned before, I've been making a lot of stuff for cards both at my gals get togethers and while playing...and that's where they ended and in my "one day" pile of stuff. Well I sat down the other day and finished a whole pile of them. These two use my Enchanted Letters.

Aug/19 - Enchanted Letter Z - Zabaglione

My favorite desserts are Creme Caramel, Crème Brûlée and Zabaglione... not necessarily in that order... So as a final letter Z it was appropriate to create one for Zabaglione. BIG GRIN.

Now I'll create some kind of binding to keep them all together.

When I lived in Montreal I used to enjoy going into the woods and seeing all the trillium blooming. So pretty. This is a rather plainer letter than all the others, no gems or glitter etc...

 

Love the added pearls and gems. This one almost looks Christmas'y...

And another 3 letters bite the dust. Only 4 more to go and then I have to figure out how to bind them... And love all these mini nail art rhinestones - Thanks Heather Victoria Held for introducing them to us in our recent class.

 Love using the instacoll for a raised gilding look. And love tooling my flat gilding.

Thanks Gemma Black for the great Retro Deco class and loving using those roses you showed us how to create. Something so simple...

Aug/19 - Enchanted Letters I, J & K

 Three more letter bite the dust... only 7 more to go.

I love the "I" and that song keeps looping through my mind... The "J" and "K" are a bit of my crazy humor... The "K" is also a take after I saw a recent upload by Heather Victoria Held to Instagram. So I tried to mimic hers.

July/19 - Enchanted Letter F - Fall Foliage

After taking Heather Victoria Held's Enchanted Letter class in June, I challenged myself and the rest of the class to create the whole alphabet before our September Guild meeting... PS and it didn't evn have to be finished letters, could be sketches for future letters... And another letter bites the dust... only 10 more to go. BIG GRIN.

I'm using a die "Best Wishes" 2pce set from Elizabeth Craft Designs and also available on Quietfire Design HERE

I'm using part of a rubber  stamp quote and design element stamps from Quietfire Design.
("Christmas Waves A Magic..."); ("Poinsettia Banner..." 4pce set")

The letter "C" and the rest of the word for "Christmas" was calligraphed by me and the rest of the quote is a stamp designed by Suzanne Cannon on Quietfire Design. 

This is the first time I'm using a product called "Instacoll" to give a raised gilded effect. I used a double coat, but will have to apply some of my Jerry Tresser adhesive as well since there were some bare spots I wasn't happy with. SIGH!!
