Art Of The Fold - Tunnel Book - Merry Christmas

Our December project was to make a tunnel book. Haven't made one of those in several years... and since we're in December... thought I'd make it an Xmas themed one. 

 

I used a heavy weight white cardstock (unknown brand probably 140#) for the pages. Dry embossed the cover and hit the high points with a red Distress pad.(I forget it expands the paper a bit so my first page warped a little - sigh!!)

The back page was stamped with a winter house scene and the area around the stamping colored with Distress Oxide pad Broken China.

I pulled out a pile of wintry and tree dies and cut from Staples white 110# cardstock. Colored with Distress pads. Added some glitter to the snowflakes and glossy accents to the red berries.

Well if nothing else I've finally used some of my embossing folder/stamp and dies which I haven't used in many years...

Oct/19 - Star Booklet Plumeria - Friend

Our Guild (BVCG.ca) has a theme of "Laugh, Learn" for our November /19 Journal. It's not a theme that inspires me like the "word" theme I did a few months... but c'est ala vie... I looked and looked and couldn't find anything that resonated with me.. And then there it was and I had 1 day to create it before the deadline.

Sponge Picked Raspberry and Wilted Violet. Misted the Tim Holtz "Scribbles" stencil with water and pressed down on cardstock. Pressed with a paper towel, then dried.

 

ID: June/19 - ATC Scribbles - The Earth Laughs

Stamped the quote using Versafine Clair "Glamorous Pink" and clear embossed. Stamped the flower (The Ton "Magnolia") using Versafine Clair "Morning Mist" and clear embossed.

Stamped the quote onto a tracing vellum using the Twilight and clear embossing. Adhered to ATC with Glossy Accents. Added the die cut butterfly from an alcohol background. Added black rhinestones to the body.

Stamped the quote using Versafine Clair "Golden Meadow" and embossed with Queen's Gold. Die cut the roses from white cardstock, inked the outline with the Glamorous pink and clear embossed. Adhered both parts together and then onto ATC. Added the stem with a green colored pencil.

Sponge Mustard Seed, Blue Lagoon & Black Soot. Mist the stencil with water and press into Oxide background. Press with a paper towel, remove stencil and dry.

Stamped the quote with Versaafine Toffee and embossed with Queen's Gold embossing powder. Trimmed down and adhered to a bright yellow cardstock.

Stamped the sentiment with Versaafine Toffee and embossed with Queen's Gold embossing powder. Embossed the die cut flourish with Versafine Clair "Twilight" and embossed with Emerald Creek "Blue Sparkle" embossing powder. Cut flourish apart and adhered.

Continuing on with the June ATC challenge for #ATCAD2019 - here are the ATC's for days 22, 23 & 24

I had a fun play day making backgrounds with Oxide ink pads and stencils. I used the star spray stencil from Suzanne (Quietfire Design stencils) also available on Elizabeth Craft Designs HERE. Done on 110# Staples white cardstock and 3.5" x 8.5".



I'm also using rubber stamp quotes from Quietfire Design ("If I Had A Star..."); ("Perhaps They Are Not Stars..."); ("Light Tomorrow With Today")

 
Sponge Salty Ocean, Blueprint Sketch, Chipped Sapphire and a touch of Picked Raspberry. Misted and sprinkled water and dried.
Sponged through stencil with Picket Fence and embossed with silver embossing powder. June/19 - ATCAD2019 - Stencil Circles Day 5, 6 & 7

There's a challenge to create an ATC every day in June (use the tag #ATCAD2019 on all social media)...  These are days 5, 6 & 7
I'm using a few dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs "Let It", "Be" 4pce set, "Be" 4pce set, "Happy" 2pce set, and Soar also available on Quietfire Design "Let It", "Be", "Be", "Happy" and "Soar"

I had created the stencil background a few days ago and it was laying on my table so figured I'd use it since I couldn't figure out what I wanted to do with it for a card...

On black cardstock using Phil Martin - Sentimentally Yours "Scattered Circles stencil and Distress Oxides. They're not as opaque as I would have liked... I used "Broken China", "Mustard Seed" and "Twisted Citron". then clear embossed. Created the highlight using a Prisma colored white pencil.

Each word die cut from a metallic cardstock "Let It Be" from gold; "Soar" from a beautiful aqua blue; and "Be Happy" from a lime green" 

Enjoy
