Woven Tag - Geli Print - All Else Fails

size: 2"w x 7"h (plus ribbon)

Weaving 4 strips (7/10" w) of geli prints done on Genoa Bond paper to create the tag. Gluing the bottom slightly... Hanging with a light blue Sari ribbon.

Punched out tags from white and blue cardstock. Wrote in the words with a white gel pen and a blue ZIG Writer.

Crafty Dozen - Xmas Stars

I decided to make these star shapes for my Crafty Dozen friends...

They're made fro equilateral triangles. Mine have 8.5"sides.Bring the point to the mid point of the side opposite it. Repeat with the next point and the 3rd point should nest within the fold lines created. My triangles are 3.6" from point to fold line. Fold point down by 2.4" leaving 1.2" between the 1st and 2nd fold lines. Repeat with other 2 triangles. Fold with one edge under the next edge. Punch a hole, add a brad and string.

Mine were made from Columbia Mills End paper and geli printed with acrylic paints.

MC Oct/18 - Xmas Gift Tags - ECD Flourished Minis - Don't Even Think

To celebrate the new release, we're having a week long celebration and a giveaway! REMEMBER THE DEADLINE FOR COMMENTING ON ALL THE POSTS IS SUNDAY OCT 7 - midnight PDT

And with my leftovers I created 3 gift tags using the Flourished Minis collection. Quick and easy to do...

I am also using one of the newest rubber stamps sets from Quietfire Design Christmas Sweet and Sassy 6pce set

I die cut the reindeer, mittens and Ho Ho Ho from white textured cardstock. Used a marker to color the details for the mittens. Adhered the various designs to the green, blue or red cardstock leaving part of the flourish above the tag edge to thread my ribbon. Used a large corner rounder punch and rounded the corners.

Used my Tim Stampin Platform and stamped the words using Versamark (it was juicier than my white stamp pad...) and embossing with white embossing powder.

Adhered the cream toned narrow ribbon to the back of the tag adding a punched heart  to hide the ends.

MC July/18 - Extended Gable Box & Candle - ECD Noel - Flourished Ornament

I had some Gable Box die cuts in my bin and started playing with them - They're so cute and work well for cookies or small trinkets etc... but I said to myself would be great also stacked to make a larger box... and voila. I created the candle so made the box tall enough for it.


And stay tuned for Xmas in July starting next week on Quietfire Creations.

Tim's Wk 6 - Stencil Techniques - Inpiration - Laugh - Memories tags

 

Absolutely loved the refresher for the stencil techniques. So many good ideas. There are so many techniques out there you keep forgetting so many of them...

This week's challenge was to use 2 or more stencil techniques on one tag or card...

The first tag I created using the Acrylic Dauber monoprint. The 2nd tag I did a monoprint using Distress pads, and for the 3rd tag I used a 2nd generation print from that same Distress pad stencil with lots more water... Then I added various techniques to each tag.

Tim's Wk 5 - Faux Marble Tag - ECD Believe - In Yourself

I uploaded a card the other day using the 2nd generation of Tim's faux marble technique - part of Summer of Creative Chemistry onLine class, this tag uses the 1st generation of the technique. Both times I used Perfect Pearls "Perfect Pearls " mist instead of water... You can see the card HERE

TH 101 - Week 3 - Days 8 & 9 - Acrylic Paint & Perfect Pearls - Butterfly tag

I combined the 2 techniques for this weeks lesson... I'm not enamored of painting my stamps with acrylics, but must admit it gives a nice result. Just have to make sure the stamp gets cleaned immediately...

Love Tim's giant layered butterfly and inking the embossing folder with the acrylic dauber gave a nice result. And the perfect pearls sprayed on in the negative spaces.

Tim Holtz 101 - Day 6 - Distress Markers

And another day under my belt... with Distress markers. Admittedly, I have all the colors... but use them mostly for touch ups here and there, not for coloring. I prefer my watercolors to color with. But inking a stamp is definitely easier with markers than mini pads...

I love that bird stamp from Penny Black and use it often.

MC May/16 - Quill - One Sht Wonder Card - ECD Happy Birthday

I've finally made one of these One Sheet Wonder cards... and it took me all day, Boy I think that's what you call an involved card... but love the way it turned out. Using my Gelli plate and new soft flex tool from Xiem which I altered by cutting every other prong from one of the sides. Gave me lines to write my text in. Will be using that side of the tool a lot...

There are 6 tags in this booklet although I only embellished 4 of them. Have to decide what to do on the 5th tag or remove it... The last tag I kept for the message. Love the Cuttlebug "animal print" embossing folder on the giraffe tag...

MC Mar/16 - Tim's Tag - ECD Dream - Look For The Dream - HB

Amazingly I'm keeping up with Tim's monthly challenges... This one was pretty involved instructions, back and forth with the old version and the new. I got to use my new pack of Distress crayons. Love them. I pulled out my Gelatos which I haven't used in ages to see the difference and I must admit, Tim's are juicier and more maneuverable. So I guess I'll be picking up the other 2 sets...

I'm also multi national today with some Oriental and some Irish BIG GRIN. 

I'm using a bunch of stuff from my stash and one of my new Martha Stewart punches (pansy border) and a very very old background stamp from Cornish Heritage Farms "Scrapblocks Newspaper Ads". And my newest Penny Black stamp "The Unfolding" love it.
