Derwent Challenge - Day 1 - 7

size: each approx 6" x 4.5"
On Canson Biggie Jr watercolor paper drew out my designs with a black waterproof marker and colored with both Derwent w/c pencils and Inktense pencils, using a different lettering style for each.
They are in order of the challenge except for "Spring Wardrobe which should be in 3rd spot after "Day Trip".
words: Blossoming Trees; Day Trip; Rose Lemonade; Evening Glow; Dancing Butterflies; Summer Picnic, Spring Wardrobe.

Blossoming Trees: I320, 0210, 1510

Day Trip: I06, I14, I20, 0260, 1530, 1920

Spring Wardrobe: 15, 17, 33, 46

Rose Lemonade: I21, 15, 17

Evening Glow: 0210, 0250, 0410, 0850

Dancing Butterflies: I12, I20, 15, 21, 0220

Summer Picnic: I02, I03, I09, I14, I16, I17, 0210, 0250, 0320, 0410, 0820, 1330, 1540, 1550, 1560.

BVCG - Cowboy Wisdom - Bull, Horse, Fool

My Guild's next challenge is "Cowboy Wisdom". I though this was a good lesson...

On Canson Mixed Media paper wrote out the text in a light and heavy funky serif style using both a Juice Up pen and a ZIG Calligraphy Marker

words: Never approach a bull from the front, a horse from the rear or a fool from any direction.

wk 1 - Rainer Quote - Welcome New Year

size: 6"w x 4.5"h
On Canson Black Drawing paper wrote out the quote using a pointed nib and my style of script writing using Bleed Proof white ink. Added some floral edging.

WCS Lettering Challenge Peppermint & Star

Size: 4:sq
The West Coast Calligraphy Society put out a challenge between the dates of Dec 10 & 20th. They gave us a pile of Holiday related words... Stipulated to be 4"sq on good paper, oriented in the diamond shape, use green ink with a touch of red..

Both done on Canson Mixed Media paper

The 1st one I chose was Peppermint. I had this vision of a peppermint candy... Drew my circles, drew in my letters and colored with green watercolor. Added the red little triangles and graphite shading.

For the 2nd one I drew my large central star and then a bunch of smaller stars using a Spellbinders star die set using various green gel pens. Wrote in the word "Star" with a green glitter gel pen. Added the red star with a red glitter gel pen.
