Blizzard Booklet - Black Black (#1)

I rec'd a request to create a Blizzard booklet (black spine and cover) so to make it a little interesting I used photographic background paper (shiny on one side and matte on the other) for the spine area and heavy textured cardstock for the covers.

It will hold 26 back to back pages.

Mini Booklet - Black Black (Blizzard 2)

I had a left over piece of my black photographic backdrop paper from a previous job I did so decided to use it up...it's shiny on one side and matte on the other.
size: 4.5"w x 6"h x 1.5"thk
Accordion folded into 1" folds to hold 38 pages (Canson Mixed Media). I used a heavy weight textured black cardstock for the covers and  a left over strip of the shiny black paper for the belt.

Not sure what I'm going to put into it yet... time will tell.

On Black - Long Orbit - Shine Again

Another piece created a while ago and came across while looking for something else...

On black paper (unknown brand...) created the orbs and painted with US Art Quest Mica Color Metallic set, then outlined the orbs with a white gel pen. Text written with a Juice Up pen.

Forever Chasing Emerald Dreams

I was cleaning up a pile of stuff on one of my wheel-y carts and came across a bunch of glittered pieces I created eons ago... this one is emerald glitter on black paper through a star stencil.

I cut strips of just under an inch wide since the piece wasn't the size I wanted and pasted them to create my new frame. Used the cut of corners as decorative elements. Wrote the words with a green ZIG Writer

OK so I wrote the word "Ecstatic" with the bullet end of a ZIG Writer...And then just started outlining things - one layer at a time... and this emerged...

Another one of those days I was in a mood for circles and this border emerged...

The text is something funky I saw onLine, but in it's outline form was hard to read so colored in alternative letters with the white gel pen.

On Canson Black Drawing, using a white Gelly roll 08 pen created the semi circles, adding doodling in the wider ones and coloring the thinner ones using Prisma colored pencils. Then  found a quote to go with my design... I chuckled one I found this one...
