This was my 1st attempt with the Scribbled Lives prompt this week...

On Edge Mixed Media paper using a Caran D'Ache pencil 8B pencil

On Edge Mixed Media paper using an Eagle Turquoise #4B pencil and a thin paper stump created my word "Pencil".

On Canson Mixed Media paper using an HB and  paper stump wrote out the word "Wrestling" in a funky lettering style and paper stump for blending. Rest of text with a Juice Up pen. Artwork with a mix of the pencil and Juice Up pen.

BVCG Feb/20 Lettering Challenge - Dogsledding & Exceedingly

Day 4 & 5 of the BVCG Feb/20 Double Lettering Challenge. I`m enjoying creating the words.

I'm pleased with both these pieces. In the dogsledding piece, the the color and the way it flooded the letters reminds me of icy snow. Using 2 pencils taped together is a fun way of writing.

I really like the way the exceedingly turned out. On both pieces I`m using my new Calligraphica Crystals from Russia. They`re beautiful colors with some iridescence to them.

Numbers substituted for letters and still our minds can read it... Each layer is the same quote.

I scanned the original piece just in case I didn't like what I did next...  and then added the coloring and shadows which I am very happy with.

BVCG Dec Lettering Challenge - Day 9 & 10

 

Thought I'd do some pencil work... I was watching a video using the various grades of pencils to get thick's and thin's. The thought is so basic I had to play a bit... Although i can't say this is my best work, I will experiment again at a later date. PS don't mind the spelling goof. It wouldn't be my work if there isn't one somewhere...

The "Joy" word was a fun time with alcohol inks... I have to play with that some more eventually.
