MC June/13 CAS cards Sympathy & Write You Letters

Created by Heather Telford
I was checking out Heather Telford's bits and pieces blog and saw this image. She does such really nice work with CAS single layer cards. It spoke to me, so I created a card for the Dreamweaver challenge this month using this as inspiration.

It was pinned here

It's a side folded 5.5"w x 4.25"h white card. I cut out a 2" square to use as a stencil and sponged Distress Shabby Shutters & Broken China. Stamped my quote (Quietfire Design.) with Versafine Black Onyx. Masked off sections of my Dreamweaver stencil (LM164) and applied Black Glossy paste, then sprinkled a bit of Distress "Antique Linen" into the feather area - it was the color and texture I was looking for. Can't ask for a simpler card...

This next card has a similar feel to it, but I used Perfect Medium through the same stencil square and applied Perfect Pearls "Cappuccino", then stamped the wheat sprigs (Inkadinkado "Meadow") with the Perfect Medium and colored the areas outside the square with the Perfect Pearls, then overstamped the image with Versafine Black Onyx.
Stamped the sentiment (Quietfire Design.) with the chalk pad in a  Turmeric color then oversatmped with Versafine black.
The card is a mustard/curry color, side folded 4.25"w x 5.5"h

Click on images to enlarge. Enjoy

And it fits for these challenges:
Dreamweaver  Monthly June - Inspired by something on Pinterest
Penny Black  Monthly june CAS
City Crafter  #164  Clean & Neutral
4 crafty Chicks  #147  sentiment as focus
Alphabet Challenge  J for Jiffy CAS

One Layer Wednesday  OLW145 Spice Girl (mustard/Curry/Turmeric, Black Pepper)
Inspire Me Fridays  #108  anything goes

Oh well done! I love how you've taken Heather's inspiration and made it your own. I also love the double stamping and how it gives so much depth to your OLW card - thanks so much for playing along!

A really stunning collection of cards Yogi, it's hard to pick a favourite but I think the one with the quill just edges it.

It's great to see you at Penny Black and More challenge, thanks so much for joining in.
