The West Coast Calligraphy Society put out a challenge between the dates of Dec 10 & 20th. They gave us a pile of Holiday related words... Stipulated to be 4"sq on good paper, oriented in the diamond shape, use green ink with a touch of red..
Both done on Canson Mixed Media paper
The 1st one I chose was Peppermint. I had this vision of a peppermint candy... Drew my circles, drew in my letters and colored with green watercolor. Added the red little triangles and graphite shading.
For the 2nd one I drew my large central star and then a bunch of smaller stars using a Spellbinders star die set using various green gel pens. Wrote in the word "Star" with a green glitter gel pen. Added the red star with a red glitter gel pen.
