Wk 7 - Emboridery - Love Is The Thread

I used to do a lot of embroidery, crewel, needlepoint and knitting more that 25 years ago... When I moved to Calgary, I seemed to stop all my textile art forms...

Size: 7.5"sq
On misc very very heavy cardstock penciled in my words and then embroidered them using variegated thread (pinkish and a reddish) in a beaded long stitch, adding  rosebuds (French Knot) and  the Woven Wheel "O". Text with a red ZIG marker and hearts outlined with a stitch pattern and shaded with a Stabilo pastel pencil and Q-tip.

words: Love is the thread that binds us

Oh, my gosh, how fun! I used to do a lot of embroidery. Sewing also. I sometimes made my own patterns for each and really enjoyed it. Then paper crafting took over. Now my hands will not let me do the needlework. This is pretty, Yogi!
